La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar el nivel de resolución de
problemas aritméticos de adición y sustracción en estudiantes del III ciclo de
Educación Básica Regular de la I.E 5084 Carlos Phillips y el C.E.P San Juan el
Bautista, Callao, 2017; se empleó un enfoque cuantitativo, método descriptivo
simple, diseño no experimental, con una población de 273 y una muestra de 160
estudiantes; se utilizó como instrumento una adaptación de la Evaluación Censal
de Estudiantes en Resolución de Problemas matemáticos de segundo grado de
primaria, compuesta por 20 preguntas de problemas en adición y sustracción de
tipo combinación, cambio y comparación, para el procesamiento de datos se
empleó el programa SPSS versión 22 y se encontró que el 54,4 % se ubicó en el
nivel medio, el 35,6 % en el nivel bajo y el 10 % en el nivel alto.
