Evidencias psicométricas de la escala de machismo sexual en estudiantes universitarios de Piura, 2023

La presente investigación tuvo como principal objetivo establecer las evidencias
psicométricas de la escala de machismo sexual en estudiantes universitarios de
Piura, 2023. Para este estudio de tipo aplicado y con un diseño no experimental, se
contó con la participación de 780 estudiantes pertenecientes a las universidades de
Piura. El instrumento que se utilizó fue la escala de machismo sexual (EMS-12-
Sexismo) que cuenta con 12 ítems y 5 opciones de respuesta. Como resultados se
obtuvo que los 12 ítems de la escala al ser evaluados por 7 expertos obtuvieron
valores superiores a .80, lo que indica una adecuada validez de contenido.
Asimismo, a través del análisis factorial confirmatorio (AFC), se obtuvieron índices
óptimos y ajustados al modelo: χ2 /gl= 3.69; TLI= .97; CFI=.98; GFI=.98;
RMSEA=.08. Por otro lado, se determinó la confiabilidad del instrumento a través
del coeficiente Omega y alfa ordinal resultando .86 y .85 respectivamente.
Finalmente, se desarrolló el baremo general en una muestra mayor a 700
estudiantes estableciendo tres niveles de machismo sexual; bajo, medio y alto. A
partir de ello, se llegó a la conclusión de que la escala de machismo sexual (EMS12-Sexismo) posee adecuadas evidencias psicométricas en estudiantes
universitarios de Piura, 2023.
