La presente investigación titulada: “Plan de Seguridad para la prevención
del riesgo de infección por Tuberculosis en el Personal de Enfermería del
Hospital Regional Virgen de Fátima, Chachapoyas - 2014” fue planteada
desde un enfoque Cuantitativo con diseño no experimental, transeccional
descriptivo simple, teniendo como base la prospectiva. Su objetivo general;
Determinar la propuesta de un Plan de seguridad para la prevención del
riesgo de Infección por TB en el personal de enfermería del Hospital
Regional “Virgen de Fátima de Chachapoyas”, como objetivos específicos;
Identificar El nivel y factores de riesgo para contraer la tuberculosis en el
Personal de Enfermería, Diseñar la propuesta de un Plan de seguridad
para la prevención del riesgo de Infección por TB en el personal de
enfermería del Hospital Regional “Virgen de Fátima de Chachapoyas
Identificar las Líneas Estratégicas principales de la propuesta del Plan de
seguridad de infección y control de TB, la muestra estuvo representada por
45 personas entre enfermeras y técnicos del Hospital los mismos que
fueron seleccionados por conveniencia que cumplieron con los criterios de
inclusión. Para la recolección de la información se utilizó 02 instrumentos,
la encuesta para identificar nivel de Riesgo y factores de Riesgo de
enfermar por tuberculosis que fue sometida y validada a juicios de Expertos
y una guía de observación que contiene 10 fichas ya estructuradas por el
Programa Nacional de control de Tuberculosis. Los datos obtenidos fueron
sistematizados usando el paquete estadístico Microsoft Excel 2007 y SPSS
VERSIÓN 22.0. Los hallazgos encontrados fueron: El 98 % del personal de
Enfermería (enfermeros y técnicos) presenta un riesgo medio de contraer
tuberculosis y el 2% del Personal presenta un alto riesgo recayendo en el
Personal técnico en enfermería del servicio de consultorios externos. El
grupo de edad que prevalece en el riesgo medio es de 31 a 40 años, el
31% del personal encuestado labora en emergencia, el 28.9% en
consultorios Externos, el 20% en medicina y el 20% UCI. En cuanto a los
principales factores de riesgo tenemos: En la categoría de Sobreexposición
a aerosoles. El 93% de encuestados (42) conoce que la enfermedad es infectocontagiosa y 84% responde que se transmite por vía aérea. En la
misma Categoría en su dimensión Atención en áreas de alto riesgo 23
encuestados (51%) responden que en su servicio se encuentran poco
abastecidos de Máscaras N95, mandilón y guantes. En la Dimensión
Inadecuado Sistema de Ventilación, control ambiental 31 encuestados
(68.8%) responden que no existen aéreas específicas para manejo de
pacientes con TB por ser pequeños y reducidos el ambiente. En la
categoría; desconocimiento de las normas de Bioseguridad 43
encuestados (95.5%) utilizan alguna forma de protección ya sea máscara
N95, mandilón y guantes, 20 encuestados (45.5 %) manifiestan que
desconoce, o no hay protocolos de atención a pacientes con Tb. En la
categoría retardo en el diagnóstico y tratamiento 14 encuestados (31%)
han aplicado alguna medida de control cuando han sido expuestos a
pacientes con Tb.
Las oportunidades de mejora continua son numerosas entre ellas: la
implementación de la vigilancia en tuberculosis entre los trabajadores de
salud, desarrollando los planes de control que incluya el mejoramiento de
la infraestructura e incorpore criterios de control de infecciones. Las
autoridades del hospital deben considerar, priorizar la implementación y
financiamiento de las actividades del plan de control de infecciones en TB.
