Gestión de riesgos y seguridad del paciente en profesionales de enfermería en áreas criticas de un hospital de Lima 2024

La presente investigación está vinculada con la ODS 3 cuyo objetivo es determinar la
relación entre la gestión de riesgos y la seguridad del paciente en enfermeros de áreas
críticas de un hospital en Lima. Es un estudio cuantitativo, no experimental,
descriptivo-correlacional y transversal. Con una población de 150 enfermeros en
unidades críticas, obteniendo una muestra de 108 profesionales. Se aplicaron dos
cuestionarios: uno de Gestión de Riesgo con 24 ítems y otro de Seguridad del
Paciente con 21 ítems, ambos con respuestas tipo Likert y confiabilidad de Alfa
Cronbach de 0.937 y 0.948 respectivamente. Los resultados mostraron que el 56.5%
de los participantes percibían la gestión de riesgos en un nivel regular, mientras que
el 48.1% consideraba la seguridad del paciente también en un nivel regular. Se halló
una relación significativa y positiva entre la gestión de riesgos y la seguridad del
paciente, con un coeficiente de correlación de Pearson de 0.495 y una significancia
de 0.000, aceptando así la hipótesis alternativa. Además, las dimensiones de
estructura y procesos presentaron correlaciones de 0.374 y 0.527, respectivamente,
ambas con significancia de 0.000. En conclusión, mejoras en la gestión de riesgos
podrían estar asociadas con mejoras en la seguridad del paciente.
