El fortalecimiento de la autonomía en niños con síndrome de Down constituye un
reto para los docentes durante el proceso de enseñanza. En ese sentido, el objetivo
de la investigación consistió en analizar la percepción de la autonomía de niños con
síndrome Down de 3 años de PRITE–Callao. La metodología utilizada fue
cuantitativa, descriptiva, básica y se pudo contar con la participación de 11 niños
de una escuela de la región Callao quienes fueron observados y se pudo aplicar los
instrumentos de recojo de datos que fueron validados por experticia. Los resultados
evidenciaron que el 63.64% demuestran un nivel de percepción de la autonomía de
niños con síndrome Down y un 36.4% señalan que no existe nivel de autonomía.
Se concluyó que el nivel de percepción de la autonomía de niños con síndrome
Down de 3 años de PRITE–Callao es regular a bueno, donde un 36.4% de los niños
se visten por sí solos, un caso crítico es que un 45.5% de los niños no se alimenta
solo y el 100% de los niños identifica a las personas que viven con ellos.
