Automanejo del adulto mayor con diabetes mellitus tipo 2 que acuden a consultorios de medicina del Centro de Salud Collique III Lima-Perú 2018

El automanejo en pacientes afectados con diabetes mellitus implica no sólo responsabilidad
y autonomía, sino empoderamiento y toma de decisiones asertivas para poder manejar su
enfermedad en lo concierne a optimizar sus conocimientos, adherirse al tratamiento y
manejar sus signos y síntomas. El objetivo de este estudio fue determinar el automanejo de
las personas afectadas con Diabetes Mellitus tipo 2 que asisten al Centro de Salud Collique
III Comas Lima - Perú 2018. Metodología: Estudio con enfoque cuantitativo, diseño no
experimental, con una muestra de 78 para la recolección de datos se aplicó el instrumento de
automanejo Partners in healt Scale. Resultados: El automanejo general en pacientes con
diabetes mellitus, mostraron un regular automanejo en un 71%, un deficiente automanejo en
un 12% y un adecuado automanejo en un 18%.En cuanto a la dimensión de conocimientos
mostraron un nivel de automanejo regular 41%(32) deficiente 42% (33), y un adecuado
17% (33).En relación a la dimensión adherencia al tratamiento mostraron un nivel de
automanejo regular con un 55% (43) deficiente con un 8% (6), y un adecuado con un 37%
(29). Por último, respecto a la dimensión manejo de signos y síntomas mostraron un nivel de
automanejo regular con un 61% (48) deficiente con un 21% (16), y un adecuado con un 18%
(14).Conclusión: La mayoría de pacientes presentaron un regular automanejo de la diabetes
mellitus tipo 2.
