El presente trabajo de investigación titulado: Familias apartadas y el desempeño escolar en los estudiantes de la Institución Educativa Monitor Huáscar – Lima, 2017, tuvo como el objetivo general: Determinar la relación que existe entre los Familias apartadas y el desempeño escolar de los alumnos de la Institución Educativa “Monitor Huáscar” de Lima.
El tipo de investigación fue básica de naturaleza descriptiva – correlacional, el diseño fue no experimental de corte transversal-correlacional. La muestra estuvo conformada por 444 estudiantes de ambos sexos, cuyas edades fluctúan entre los 6 y 14 años, que cursan el Primer Grado, Segundo Grado, tercer Grado, Cuarto Grado, Quinto Grado, Sexto Grado y los padres de familia de la institución educativa mencionada, 222 padres a quienes se les aplicó la encuesta de familias separadas.
En la investigación, se encontró la existencia de una relación directa y significativa entre las familias separadas y el desempeño escolar, por lo que se acepta la hipótesis general de investigación.
