La investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre el estigma y la calidad de
vida en personas con diagnóstico de VIH en un Hospital Nacional de Lima Este, 2018, el
diseño del estudio es no experimental, de corte transversal, descriptivo, correlacional. Para
medir las variables se utilizó la Escala de Berger para estigma relacionado al VIH y el
Cuestionario de Salud WHOQOL-BREF 26 a una muestra conformada por 104 pacientes
adultos diagnosticados con VIH. Los resultados indican que existe relación significativa entre
el estigma y la calidad de vida en las personas con diagnóstico de VIH (r= -0.209

por otro lado no se encontró relación entre el estigma y la dimensión salud física (r= 0.057;
p= 0.565), no se encontró relación entre el estigma y la dimensión relaciones sociales (r=
0.114; p= 0.250), no se halló relación entre el estigma y la dimensión ambiente (r= -0.112; p=
0.260), pero si se halló relación significativa entre el estigma y la dimensión salud psicológica
(r= -0,223

; p= 0.023). En conclusión se afirma que la presencia de estigma afecta la calidad
de vida.
