La presente investigación titulada “Síndrome de Burnout y desempeño profesional
de los profesionales de la salud en un instituto especializado”, se llevó a cabo en el
mes de junio 2018; el objetivo general determinar la relación del síndrome de
Burnout y el desempeño profesional de los profesionales de la salud en un instituto
especializado. La población accesible que participó estuvo conformada por 100
profesionales de la salud. Se tomó como parámetro de medición los niveles bajo,
medio y alto para el Síndrome de Burnout al igual que en el desempeño profesional,
según la escala del Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) y el Formato de evaluación
de desempeño profesional respectivamente.
La metodología utilizada de investigación fue básica, dado que se desarrolla
con el fin de obtener conocimientos nuevos en un preciso campo científico, no
experimental, transversal, descriptivo, correlacional de enfoque cuantitativo, se
evaluaron a 100 profesionales de la salud. La técnica que se utilizó es la encuesta
y los instrumentos de recolección fueron dos cuestionarios el Maslach Burnout
Inventory (MBI) y el Formato de evaluación de desempeño profesional que se
aplicaron a los profesionales de la salud. Para la validez de los instrumentos se
utilizó el juicio de expertos y para la confiabilidad de cada instrumento se utilizó el
alfa de Cronbach.
Los resultados conseguidos a través del programa estadístico SPSS
muestran un nivel alto de 27.0%, un nivel medio 47.0% del síndrome de Burnout, y
finalmente el nivel bajo es de 26.0%, en lo que refiere a la segunda variable muestra
un nivel alto de desempeño profesional del 56%, mientras que el nivel medio está
representado por el 40% y tan solo el 4% presenta nivel bajo. Los resultados
estadísticos nos indicaron que existe un coeficiente de correlación positiva de Rho
de Spearman 0.306** con un nivel de significancia de 0.002, donde p<0.05, por lo
que rechazamos la hipótesis nula y aceptamos la hipótesis alterna.
