Sistemas de tratamiento de aguas residuales domésticas para mejorar la calidad de vida en comunidades aledañas a actividades mineras – Cajamarca
Abstract
La presente investigación se desarrolló en la comunidad de Quimuamayo alto, distrito la
Encañada, provincia de Cajamarca en el año 2018. El trabajo consistió en 2 etapas donde
se realizó un diagnóstico inicial del servicio de saneamiento tanto para el agua potable
como de agua residual y una segunda etapa donde elaboro una propuesta técnica para
solucionar la problemática de las aguas residuales en la zona de estudio para mejorar la
calidad de vida de la población. El objetivo de la investigación fue: Proponer un sistema
de tratamiento de aguas residuales domésticas para mejorar la calidad de vida en
comunidades aledañas a actividades mineras en el Sector Quinuamayo Alto, Distrito la
Encañada, Región Cajamarca 2018. El diagnóstico inicial contó con la participación de
60 personas que viven en áreas aledañas al proyecto minero Michiquillay. De la encuesta
realizada se pudo identificar que el 80% se encuentran dentro de una mala calidad de vida
y el 20 % en una calidad de vida regular. Este diagnóstico se determina al analizar criterios
como la calidad de agua de consumo, la problemática de las aguas residuales y la
satisfacción de la población en los servicios que la empresa construyó como parte de sus
proyectos sociales. El sistema de tratamiento de aguas residuales en la zona consta de un
módulo UBS que consta de una ducha, termas solares, un lavatorio y un sistema de
tratamiento de aguas residuales con biodigestores. Las personas entrevistadas indicaron
que los sistemas de tratamiento con biodigestores no funcionan adecuadamente. Esto se
debe a que la comunidad se ubica a una altitud promedio de 3500 msnm haciendo que las
bajas temperaturas no permitan el adecuado funcionamiento del sistema. Por lo expuesto
se elaboró una propuesta técnica que consta en la implementación de sistemas de
tratamiento de aguas residuales con lombrifiltros.
