Estilos de pensamiento y procrastinación en los estudiantes del I ciclo del Instituto Tecnológico Superior Zegel Ipae, Chiclayo

Esta investigación tiene como objetivo determinar si existe relación entre los estilos de
pensamiento y procrastinación en los estudiantes del Instituto Tecnológico Superior Zegel
Ipae. El estudio es de enfoque cuantitativo, no experimental y correlacional. La muestra
fue probabilística estuvo conformada por 64 estudiantes de ambos sexos y que cumplan
con el criterio de ser estudiantes matriculados en el semestre 2019-I. Se evaluó la muestra
con el Inventario de Estilos de pensamientos de Sternberg y la Escala de Procrastinación
Académica, los cuales cumplen con los índices apropiados en confiabilidad y validez. Por
otro lado, para al procesamiento de los datos se ha empleó el estadístico de correlación de
Chi cuadrado de Pearson, en su versión informática del SPSS versión 23. Los resultados
arrojaron que no existe relación significativa entre los estilos de pensamiento y
procrastinación. El 17.2% de los estudiantes se ubican en un nivel medio de
procrastinación y poseen a su vez un estilo de pensamiento legislativo, mientras tanto el
7.8% se identifica con un estilo de pensamiento jerárquico. En cuanto a procrastinación,
71.9% se ubicaron en un nivel medio de procrastinación, siendo que el 70.3% en la
dimensión Elección – evitación conductual y el 62.5% de la dimensión Procesamiento
cognitivo se ubicaron también en un nivel promedio.
