El presente proyecto de tesis tuvo como objetivo principal evaluar la influencia de la aplicación de la fibra de polipropileno en las propiedades del concreto en el pavimento rígido con la finalidad de obtener un concreto de mayor resistencia y que se pueda comprobar que esto brinda una mayor durabilidad y mayor tiempo de vida para los pavimentos rígidos. Esta investigación se basa en un método no experimental de corte transversal de tipo aplicada y diseño correlacional causal, se efectuará una descripción de los aportes de otros autores y se profundizará la influencia en las propiedades del concreto con los ensayos de asentamiento o slump, la resistencia a compresión y la resistencia a la flexión. Como resultado podemos obtener la dosificación optima de los tres tipos de fibras empleados (para SikaFiber Force PP48 fue 4kg/m3, para las fibras SikaFiber PE y la fibra Z Aditivos fueron 0.7kg/m3) todo esto con respecto al volumen del concreto. Se concluye que la aplicación de fibras influye de manera desfavorable en el asentamiento del concreto ya que a mayor dosificación menor es el asentamiento, sin embargo, para la resistencia a compresión y flexión se obtuvo resultados favorables a los 28 días de ensayado.
