Influencia de la velocidad de agitación y granulometría del carbón activado de semillas de Persea americana y Prunus persica en adsorción de cromo en efluentes de curtiembre

El uso de Carbón activado es una tecnología disponible y económica para la remoción de contaminantes y en la solución de problemas ambientales. La pregunta de investigación ¿Cuál es la influencia de la velocidad de agitación, la granulometría del carbón activado obtenido de semillas de Persea americana y Prunus persica en la adsorción de cromo de efluentes de curtiembre Ecológica del Norte - Parque Industrial - Trujillo? , como objetivo general, determinar la influencia de la velocidad de agitación y la granulometría del carbón activado preparado con pepa de Persea americana y Prunus persica en la adsorción de cromo de efluentes de la curtiembre Ecológica del Norte - Parque Industrial- Trujillo. El procedimiento realizado con pepas de Persea americana y Prunus persica extraídas, se lavaron y secaron en la estufa, a la temperatura de 110 °C por un tiempo de 1 hora, respectivamente. Luego se calcinaron a 600°C , trituradas y tamizadas en mallas Mesh número 60 y 80, luego se activó el carbón con ácido fosfórico (H3PO4) al 85% sumergiendo las partículas de carbón tamizado y llevando a la estufa a 150 ºC hasta evaporación, por cada gramo de carbón se añadió un mililitro de ácido fosfórico H2PO4 al 85%. Se enjuago al final con agua destilada para remover los restos del ácido y llegar a un pH cercano neutro. Como resultados se determinó que la velocidad de agitación de 200 RPM y la granulometría #80 del carbón activado preparado con pepa de Persea americana adsorbe el 20,48% de cromo de efluentes de la curtiembre Ecológica del Norte- Parque Industrial- Trujillo, siendo estos parámetros los que tienen mayor influencia que la de carbón activado preparado de pepa de Prunus pérsica, la cual logró su mejor adsorción del 15% a 200 RPM, a una granulometría #60.
