En la presente investigación se explica el desarrollo de un sistema de diagnóstico
preliminar para la clasificación de catarata senil usando redes neuronales
convolucionales, que a partir del procesamiento de imágenes digitales se pretende
determinar en qué medida mejora la precisión diagnóstica.
El tipo de investigación es Aplicada, ya que se centra en buscar un problema específico
mediante el análisis de las causas y proporcionando un resultado que tendrá un beneficio
e incluso brindando respuesta a las necesidades en la sociedad. Asimismo, el diseño de
investigación es el cuasi-experimental pues existirá un grupo de control, un pre-test que
sería la medida antes del uso de la aplicación y el post-test que será la medida después
del uso de la aplicación. Se establecieron indicadores que permitirá definir si los pacientes
presentan rasgos o no de la enfermedad, los cuales son la sensibilidad y especificidad.
Por otra parte, para esta investigación se ha utilizado el framework de código abierto
Ionic cuya utilidad es multiplataforma para dispositivos móviles, para el backend el
framework de Python denominado Django junto a la librería de Tensorflow para la
inteligencia artificial. Concluimos así que esta investigación aportara significativamente
a la mediana por ser esta una tecnología enfocada al pre-diagnostico, teniendo en
consideración la existencia de un incremento de la enfermedad en la población, por lo que
cumple con el objetivo de bienestar social e incluso formando base para las
investigaciones futuras.
