Revisión bibliográfica del estudio de los microplásticos presentes en el aire

El objetivo de la investigación fue analizar los aspectos más relevantes del estudio
de microplásticos presentes en el aire, y para ello se obtuvo 111 documentos, de
los cuales 17 son antecedentes, 1 es en chino, 85 en inglés y 25 en español,
además 66 son revistas actuales que datan desde el año 2014 hasta el 2020, y 45
son revistas antiguas menores al año 2014. En los estudios realizados para el
muestreo de MPs, el 31.57% son métodos activos y con un 68.4% son pasivos el
cual utilizan equipos y dispositivos respectivamente para la recolección de la
muestra y posteriormente estos son analizados en el laboratorio, para ello se
requiere de filtros que pueden ser de vidrio, celulosa o cuarzo, además el tamaño
del poro es un criterio relevante para no perder parte de la muestra al momento de
filtrar que puede variar entre 5 μm - 0.2 μm, con un tamaño máximo de 50 y 500
μm; Para la caracterización física se han utilizado diferentes microscopios
estereoscópicos, de fluorescencia, binocular y digital, con el apoyo de softwares
que permitirán fotografiar y analizar las imágenes de la muestra. Además, se
observó que para determinar la composición química se emplearon un 64.7% el
análisis de la espectroscopía infrarroja por transformada de Fourier y un 11.7 % fue
espectroscopía Raman. Por otro lado, el método de muestreo se encuentra
relacionado con las unidades de concentraciones reportadas, el método activo se
considera como unidad al número de partículas de MPs en el aire por metro cubico
(partículas/m3) y para un muestreo pasivo estas unidades pueden variar
dependiendo del lugar que muestreo, tal es el caso aire (partículas/m2/día), polvo
de la calle (partículas/g o mg), hielo (partículas/kg) y nieve (partículas/litro),
entonces las unidades dependen del método de muestreo a ejecutar. Por ende, se
insta a profundizar en estas investigaciones, ya que las fuentes de investigación
son muy escazas contando solo con 17 revisiones de trabajos previos sobre los
MPs en aire.
