Abstract
Se ha evaluado la eficacia antimicrobiana del extracto etanólico de propóleos obtenido del departamento de Lambayeque (de los Bosques secos de Pomac) facilitando la adquisición por el centro de apicultura “Honey Bee”, en Trujillo. Se usaron cepas de Salmonella typhi, germen Gram negativo. La inhibición del crecimiento bacteriano se medirá a través del halo de inhibición utilizando el método de Kirby Bauer donde se evidenció que con una concentración al 80% es eficaz totalmente, con una actividad antimicrobiana dependiente de la concentración del extracto. En conclusión el extracto etanólico de propóleo si presenta una actividad antibacteriana significativa y esta actividad depende de su concentración de etanol para la producción de extracto.
