En el presente Informe de investigación tuvo como objetivo general evaluar la
incorporación de la geomalla de fibra de vidrio para la rehabilitación del pavimento
flexible y dar a conocer los beneficios de la geomalla de fibra de vidrio como un
método de rehabilitación superficial entre capas de asfalto cuya finalidad es poder
controlar los agrietamientos , deformaciones de la capa asfáltica y obtener un mejor
desempeño en la resistencia a la compresión y flexión , y que la utilización de la
geomalla de fibra de vidrio es económicamente viable a través del tiempo .
Esta investigación es aplicada, no experimental, de corte transversal y diseño
correlacional- causal, donde se realizó recolección de datos de otras
investigaciones teniendo los mismos parámetros de estudios para analizarlas e
interpretarlas de manera asertiva, donde extraemos los ensayos de compresión y
flexión para poder ampliar nuestros conocimientos sobre el tema a investigar y
realizar los ensayos de investigación. Los resultados obtenidos fueron, capacidad
de soporte a las deformaciones donde inicialmente un asfalto convencional soporta
325 ciclos para tener una deformación de 0.43 mm y un asfalto reforzado con
geomalla de fibra de vidrio soporto 968 ciclo para llegar a la misma falla
concluye que la resistencia a la flexión en el pavimento flexible reforzado con
geomalla de fibra de vidrio, tiene un óptimo desempeño retardando 643 veces el
número de ciclo hasta llegar a la falla del pavimento, de esta manera alargando su
vida útil.
