La investigación tuvo como objetivo general, la relación entre la intensidad de dolor
del miembro fantasma y la edad en pacientes diabéticos con amputación de miembro
inferior en el hospital regional de Ica enero a diciembre del 2019, la metodología
empleada corresponde a un estudio de tipo no experimental, analítico – transversal
cuya población estuvo constituida por 52 pacientes diabéticos que tuvieron edades
entre 20 y 79 años tratados durante el año 2019 y que cumplieron con los criterios de
inclusión y exclusión; obteniéndose los siguientes resultados: el 26.9% percibió el
dolor del miembro fantasma como de intensidad leve, el 53.8% lo percibió como
moderado y el 19.2% lo percibió intenso, el 21.2% de los pacientes amputados con
dolor por miembro fantasma fueron de edades de 20 a 39 años, 32.7% de 40 a 59
años y el 46.2% de 60 a 79 años, se determinó que existe relación significativa (valor
de p= 0.019 Chi cuadrado= 11.76) entre la intensidad del dolor del miembro fantasma
y la edad en pacientes diabéticos siendo las edades de 20 a 39 años aquellos cuyo
dolor es percibido más intensamente, por lo tanto se concluye que existe relación
significativa entre la intensidad del dolor del miembro fantasma la edad de los
pacientes.
