Efecto de ceniza de cacao Theobroma Cacao, en la remoción de plomo y cadmio, caso: Río Llactun - Ancash - 2021

El objetivo del presente estudio fue la verificación de la variación de concentración
de plomo y cadmio en agua del río Llactun-Aija utilizando como absorbente la ceniza
de cascara de cacao preparada mediante una modificación física y química. El
trabajo consistió en evaluar muestra del Rio Llactun en un punto crítico previamente
analizado por la Autoridad Nacional del Agua dándose a conocer la cantidad
contaminado con plomo y cadmio, y filtrarla por medio de una dosis de ceniza de
cascara de cacao, que fue llevada al laboratorio de polímeros, fue calcinada a 390
C° para que pueda activarse, durante el proceso se fueron tomando muestras en
un determinado tiempo. El proceso de absorción se realizó por medio de un biofiltro
que consistió de piedras de distintos tamaños ordenados granulométricamente y de
la ceniza de cascara de cacao donde se estudiaron las variables independientes: la
cantidad de biomasa absorbente, y como variable respuesta la capacidad de
absorción.
Se determinó que existe una gran diferencia en la bioadsorción de plomo y cadmio
con una cantidad de biomasa es decir, que el potencial de remoción dependió del
absorbente obteniendo porcentajes de remoción de 75% y 90%, de concentración
de plomo y cadmio en función de las dosis seleccionadas. En conclusión la
utilización de cascara de cacao como absorbente para la remoción de plomo y
cadmio es un método viable ya que a los 30 minutos evaluados tuvo la capacidad
de remover un gran porcentaje y mientras la dosis del material absorbente aumente
mayor será la remoción de plomo como se demostró.
