Índices mentoniano y cortical mandibular en radiografías panorámicas en pacientes postmenopaúsicas atendidas en un centro radiológico, 2022

Objetivo: Esta investigación tuvo como objetivo correlacionar el índice mentoniano
y cortical mandibular para la sospecha del riesgo de sufrir osteoporosis en
radiografías panorámicas en un centro radiográfico en pacientes
postmenopáusicas. Metodología: El tipo de investigación fue básica, de diseño no
experimental y transversal. La población estuvo conformada por un total de 6856
radiografías panorámicas a la cual se le aplicó el muestreo aleatorio estratificado
arrojando como muestra a 364 radiografías entre los 12 meses, se utilizó una ficha
de recolección de datos que tuvo 2 categorías principales para el índice mentoniano
y el índice cortical mandibular, cada uno con subcategorías donde se indicaba el
alto, bajo, mediano riesgo de sufrir osteoporosis Resultados: El estadístico chi
cuadrado tuvo un valor p=0.000 (<0.05) quiere decir que existe relación entre el
riesgo de osteoporosis según el índice mentoniano y el riesgo de osteoporosis
según el índice cortical mandibular en mujeres postmenopáusicas. Conclusión: Si
se puede relacionar ambos índices con la sospecha de sufrir osteoporosis pues
según la V de Cramer hay una relación muy fuerte entre ambos.
