Rentabilidad sobre activos y costo de ventas en una empresa de alimentos registrada en la Bolsa de Valores, período 2017 - 2021

El objetivo de esta tesis ha consistido en determinar el nivel de relación entre la
ROA y el costo de ventas, en una empresa de alimentos registrada en la BVL, 2017-
2021. La sección metodológica perteneció a un trabajo científico de tipo aplicado,
su diseño fue no experimental, correlacional y longitudinal. Los estados contables
fueron la población; y los informes financieros del quinquenio señalado, la muestra.
El muestreo se realizó intencionalmente, o sea por conveniencia. Su técnica fue
análisis documental; y, su instrumento, la ficha de investigación. Esta se empleó
para fines del tesista, pues solo se registró data cuantitativa de los estados
contables, es decir, de fuente secundaria; y, por ello validación de indicadores la
realizaron auditores especialistas, reconocidos internacionalmente. Los resultados
señalaron que el ROA tiene una relación inversa con el costo de ventas, pues el
coeficiente de correlación de Pearson fue negativo. Las conclusiones revelaron que
existe relación no significativa entre ROA y el costo de ventas, pues el p-valor fue
mayor 0.05. Es decir, mientras ROA decreció por un menor desarrollo de la utilidad
neta, frente a un incremento de activo total, el costo de ventas se mantenía en un
indicador constante de 0.5.
