Aplicación de la agricultura urbana por sistema de andenería para la generación de servicios ambientales en laderas del AA.HH. José Carlos Mariátegui - S.J.L.

El crecimiento de la ocupación territorial en zonas altas y de periferia del área
urbana genera impactos ambientales y coloca a la población en un estado de
vulnerabilidad, como ocurre en muchos asentamientos humanos; por ello, es
necesario implementar actividades y tecnologías que promuevan los beneficios
ambientales y replicarlas en zonas similares. El objetivo del estudio es
determinar que la agricultura urbana por sistema de andenería genera servicios
ambientales en laderas en el Asentamiento Humano José Carlos Mariátegui en
el distrito de San Juan de Lurigancho. La parte experimental incluyó la
preparación del terreno y cultivo de hortalizas (acelga: Beta Vulgaris L.) en
andenes instalados en la zona de ladera (34.8° de pendiente), perteneciente a
la Agrupación Familiar Portada de Belén. Tras la recolección de datos, los
resultados del método de clavos de erosión realizado en 3 parcelas en andenes
y 3 en ladera libre mostraron que la erosión en el sistema de andenería fue
66.8% menor a las áreas que no fueron tratadas con esta práctica
conservacionista; a partir de la aplicación de la encuesta dirigida a 46
pobladores de la agrupación se determinó que el 97.5% está de acuerdo con
que la agricultura urbana por sistema de andenería contribuye con la mejora de
la belleza escénica y las mediciones de las hortalizas (acelga) en el área con
andenes resultaron en una altura promedio de 18.9 cm, lo cual corresponde al
94.5% de crecimiento esperado de las plantas.
