Funcionalidad familiar y depresión en estudiantes de secundaria de una institución educativa de Lima Sur, 2022

El objetivo de este estudio fue determinar la relación entre funcionalidad familiar y
depresión. La muestra fue compuesta por 178 estudiantes de ambos sexos con
edades entre 12 a 18 años y que cursan de 1ro a 5to grado de secundaria de una
institución educativa estatal ubicado en el distrito de Villa El Salvador, Lima-Perú.
La metodología tuvo un paradigma positivista con un enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo
básico y de diseño no experimental con un alcance correlacional. Para la
recolección de datos se utilizaron la Escala de Evaluación de Cohesión y
Adaptabilidad Familiar – FACES III de Olson (1985) y el Inventario de Depresión
de Beck – BDI II de Beck (1996). Los resultados reportaron correlación significativa
entre funcionalidad familiar y depresión con una tendencia inversa y de grado débil
(p<0.05, rho=-.253), así mismo, funcionalidad familiar se asoció significativamente
(p<0.05) con las dimensiones de depresión cómo cognitiva (rho= -.226),
física/conductual (rho= -.257) y afectiva/emocional (rho=-.222), cuyas direcciones
fueron inversas con magnitudes débiles.
