Efecto hipocolesterolemiante del extracto etanólico de la raíz de Taraxacum officinale “diente de león”, en modelo experimental de Rattus norvegicus inducidos con Tritón

Se evaluó el efecto anti hipercolesterolemiante del extracto etanólico de la raíz de Taraxacum
officinale “Diente de león”, a las concentraciones de 250, 500 y 750 mg/kg, comparándolas con
Atorvastatina a 10mg/kg y grupo control que recibieron NaCl 0,9%, sobre Rattus norvegicus con
hipercolesterolemia inducida con tritón. Se trabajo con 6 roedores por grupo, sumando un total de 30
especímenes. Se evidencio que tras 7 días de tratamiento los grupos administrados con extracto
etanolico de Taraxacum officinale a dosis de 500 mg/kg, redujo los niveles de colesterol 19,9% y los
que recibieron la dosis de 750 mg/kg, disminuyeron el 31,6%, así como también con atorvastatina el
21,4%. Se concluye que a mayor concentración del extracto etanólico de Taraxacum officinale mayor efecto anti hipercolesterolemiante, superando incluso el efecto de la atorvastatina.
