Autocuidado de adultos con diabetes mellitus ii que asisten a la posta de salud los Quechuas-Independencia- Lima, Abril-Diciembre 2012

La Diabetes Mellitus tipo 2 es una enfermedad crónica que los últimos años
aumenta en forma progresiva, afectando a una gran cantidad de la población
debido a que no cuentan con los debidos conocimientos sobre la enfermedad y
por lo tanto realizan un autocuidado deficiente principalmente por los estilos de
vida alterados en su cuidado.
La presente investigación titulada Autocuidado en adultos Diabéticos realizado
en en el establecimiento de salud Posta de salud Los Quechuas-2012 tuvo como
objetivo general determinar el nivel de autocuidado que realizan los adultos con
Diabetes Mellitus II, y como objetivos específicos identificar el nivel de
autocuidado según la dimensión de régimen dietético, higiene personal,
tratamiento e identificar la participación social hacia la enfermedad. El presente
estudio fue de diseño descriptivo, tipo cuantitativo , no experimental y de corte
transversal. La muestra estuvo conformada por 95 adultos diabéticos que
acudieron al programa de adulto mayor de la posta de Salud los Quechuas
Independencia- Lima 2012.
Para la recolección de los datos se aplicó la técnica fue la encuesta y el
instrumento: la escala de Autocuidado en Diabetes mellitus.
Resultados: El 41.1% (39) presenta un Autocuidado deficiente, el 49.4% (47)
presenta un Autocuidado regular y el 9.5% (9) presenta un cuidado bueno en su
Autocuidado.
Conclusiones: La población en estudio en mayoría tiene un nivel de Autocuidado
regular y deficiente, lo que se explica en que llevan un adecuado Autocuidado
teniendo en cuenta su estilo de vida y sus hábitos.
