Valor predictivo de letalidad del gradiente vemoso-arterial del dióxido de carbono en pacientes con sepsis severa del Hospital Belénn de Trujillo

El objetivo de la investigación fue establecer si el gradiente venoso- arterial de dióxido de carbono tiene valor predictivo de letalidad en pacientes con sepsis severa del Hospital Belén de Trujillo, entre enero y junio 2017. Mediante el diseño de prueba diagnóstica se evaluó 385 pacientes, determinando los valores de dióxido de carbono por medio de un análisis de gases arteriales y venosos. Los resultados mostraron una tasa de mortalidad de 21.3% y la mayor mortalidad se encontró en el grupo de 40 a 59 años de edad y en el sexo femenino. La sensibilidad fue 70.7 %, la especificidad del 91.4, con valor predictivo negativo de letalidad. Se determinó que existe relación estadística altamente significativa entre el valor de gradiente venoso-arterial y la letalidad en pacientes con sepsis severa, por lo tanto el valor de gradiente venoso-arterial es predictor de letalidad.
