Ansiedad en la diabetes mellitus tipo 2

El objetivo planteado fue identificar la ansiedad en personas con diabetes mellitus
tipo 2. El diseño del estudio fue descriptivo, incluyendo a 72 participantes
diagnosticados con diabetes mellitus, mayores de 18 años y de ambos géneros.
Los resultados revelaron que el 100% de los individuos experimentaban niveles de
ansiedad, siendo que el 20,8% presentaba ansiedad leve, el 48,6% moderada y el
30,6% grave. Además, se observaron características epidemiológicas
significativas. La ansiedad era más frecuente en adultos de edades comprendidas
entre 32 y 88 años, siendo más prevalente en mujeres con un 69.4%. El estado civil
más común era el de casados con un 45,8%. En términos de educación, la mayoría
tenía educación secundaria incompleta en un 31,9%. Todos los participantes
estaban recibiendo tratamiento oral y el tiempo promedio de enfermedad fue de
6,49 ± 3,3 años. En conclusión, en comparación con estudios previos, esta
investigación destaca que el 100% de los pacientes evaluados presentaban niveles
de ansiedad, siendo la ansiedad moderada la más prevalente.
