Adaptación psicométrica del cuestionario de imagen corporal de Cooper, Taylor, Cooper y Fairburn en adolescentes de nivel secundaria del distrito de Santa Rosa

El presente estudio tiene como finalidad adaptar el Cuestionario de
Imagen Corporal de Cooper en adolescentes de nivel secundaria para el distrito
de Santa Rosa. Para ello, se realizó una adaptación lingüística y se evaluó a
una muestra de escolares de dicho lugar. La muestra aleatoria estuvo
conformada por 300 adolescentes entre 11 y 17 años. La prueba alcanza una
confiabilidad alta (Alfa=0.98) y una adecuada correlación ítem-test corregida en
la mayoría de los ítems que conforman el inventario. La validez de constructo
evaluado a través de análisis factorial exploratorio muestra que no se
reproduce la composición de factores planteada por los autores de la prueba.
En lo referente a las variables medidas, se encuentran diferencias
significativas en función del grupo de sexo, pero no en el grupo de edad. Se
concluye que el Cuestionario de Imagen Corporal de Cooper es un instrumento
con características psicométricas apropiadas para el Distrito de Santa Rosa.
