Abuso infantil, autoestima y compromiso académico en adolescentes de Lima Metropolitana

Esta investigación tiene como finalidad estudiar el papel mediador de la autoestima entre las
variables abuso infantil y compromiso académico en adolescentes de lima metropolitana. El
diseño metodológico es no experimental, de corte transversal de nivel explicativo. La muestra
para este estudio fue conformada 408 adolescentes el cual, 206 de sexo femenino y 202 de
sexo masculino, teniendo una media de edad de 15.4 de la población en total. Las técnicas de
recolección de datos usados fueron el cuestionario de abuso infantil (Ahad y Shah, 2019);
Escala de autoestima de Rosenberg adaptada por Ventura-León para adolescentes limeños
(2018) y, por último, la escala de compromiso académico (Tomas, Gutiérrez, et al., 2015).
Los resultados obtenidos de la muestra indican una mediación completa de la autoestima
sobre las variables abuso infantil y compromiso académico ([X→Z→Y]; p<.05). Indicando
que el abuso infantil no explica directamente al compromiso académico, pero si
indirectamente con la variable autoestima.
