Sinergia antimicrobiana entre el extracto acuoso del fruto de Vaccinium corymbosum L. “arándano” y vancomicina sobre Staphylococcus aureus resistente a meticilina

En la investigación se evaluó la sinergia antimicrobiana entre el extracto acuoso del
fruto del Vaccinium corymbosum l. al 100% y vancomicina 30 µg, sobre
Staphylococcus aureus meticilino resistente ATCC 4300, para ello se tuvieron cuatro
grupos de estudio (el extracto del fruto, el antibiótico, la combinación de los dos
primeros y un control neutro); la sensibilidad bacteriana se midió con el método de
Kirby-Bauer. Los resultados demostraron: que la media de los halos de inhibición
del extracto acuoso de Vaccinium corymbosum l fue de 15.7mm (DS: ±1.25167),
siendo eficaz según lo establecido por el CLSI (≥ 15 mm), para vancomicina 23.9
mm (DS:±0.8756) y la combinación de ambos agentes 24.2 mm (DS:±1.03280). El
análisis ANOVA evidenció que existen diferencias significativas en los promedios
de los halos de inhibición en los grupos analizados (p= 0,000); el Post ANOVA de
Tukey probó que el mejor grupo que tuvo efecto antimicrobiano fue la combinación
de los dos productos en estudio. Se concluye que la asociación de estos productos,
demostró tener efecto sinérgico, sobre S. Aureus resistente a la meticilina,
superando moderadamente la acción antibacteriana del agente de primera línea
frente al SARM.
