La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo analizar el uso de las redes VSAT en el sistema
de comunicación de la Policía Nacional del Perú de la Región Loreto, para lo cual se ha visto
la necesidad de determinar la arquitectura satelital a través de su topología y la operatividad
de la banda de frecuencia también se analizó la disponibilidad de la banda, por medio del
uso constante del tráfico de datos (servicio de voz y datos) de los usuarios y las técnicas de
acceso al enlace satelital y por último, determinar la demanda del sistema VSAT, implica la
cantidad de solicitudes enviadas desde las unidades policiales hacia la Dirtic de la Policía
Nacional del Perú la cual es derivada al área especializada, dimensionando a su vez la
cantidad de efectos policiales y equipos electrónicos de cada unidad, el tipo de energía a
utilizar y la seguridad que deben tener a la hora de utilizar el sistema.
La investigación fue de enfoque cualitativo, el método de investigación se basó en
el paradigma interpretativo, el tipo de investigación fue aplicada y se utilizó el diseño de
investigación acción. Se empleó como técnicas la entrevista a profundidad, la observación y
el análisis documental, las herramientas utilizadas fueron la guía de entrevista, guía de
observación y ficha de análisis documental. Para obtener información se entrevistaron a 03
personas con experiencia en comunicación satelital.
