Percepción de fatalidad ante la COVID-19 y ansiedad en estudiantes de sexto año e internos de Medicina Humana

Objetivo: determinar las diferencias en la percepción de fatalidad ante la COVID-
19 y ansiedad entre internos y estudiantes de sexto año de Medicina Humana.
Material y métodos: diseño descriptivo transversal. Se aplicó el Inventario de
Ansiedad de Beck y un instrumento para medir la percepción de fatalismo ante
COVID-19 a cada estudiante. Se empleó el programa Jamovi y t de student, para
la descripción de los datos y análisis inferencial.
Resultados: El 55.17% de estudiantes y 54.47% de internos presentan
ansiedad. El 63.79% y el 67,48% respectivamente, tienen bajo nivel de
percepción de consecuencias fatales extremas por la infección. El 77,59% y
83,74%, alto nivel de preocupación por la infección. Existen diferencias de efecto
pequeño para ansiedad, según sexo y grupo de pertenencia. Igualmente, para
percepción de fatalidad, según antecedente de tener familiares o amigos que han
recibido oxigenoterapia o han sido hospitalizados. Para ambas variables, según
antecedente de infección por SARS-CoV-2, convivencia con una persona
vulnerable y tener familiares o amigos que fallecieron tras infectarse, de efecto
mediano.
Conclusiones: Sí existen diferencias en la percepción fatalista y ansiedad entre
internos y estudiantes de sexto año de Medicina Humana.
