Evaluación de dos sistemas de tratamiento de aguas grises para el reúso en áreas verdes en escuelas públicas, Lima, 2023

Este estudio evalúa la eficiencia de dos sistemas miniaturizados de tratamiento de
aguas grises para el riego potencial de áreas verdes en escuelas públicas, Lima,
2023. El propósito es ampliar las áreas verdes, mitigar el consumo de agua potable,
abordar los desafíos de estrés hídrico y los vertimientos domésticos. Se probaron
sistemas de filtración tricapa, cada uno con espesor de 25 cm, dispuestos en
columnas verticales de 1 m de altura y diámetro de 6”. El Sistema 1, configurado
en orden descendente, utilizó arena de sílice, bagazo de caña de azúcar y carbón
activado. El Sistema 2, conformada por ladrillo de escombros triturado, aserrín de
madera y carbón activado.
El diseño experimental incluyó pruebas de laboratorio con aguas grises reales
provenientes de lavaderos de la escuela San Judas Tadeo. Se llevaron a cabo
análisis físicos (temperatura, sólidos totales y suspendidos), químicos (pH, DBO5 y
DQO) y biológicos (coliformes totales, escherichia coli y huevos de helmintos),
verificando el cumplimiento normativo del reúso seguro en el riego de áreas verdes
escolares. El Sistema 1 demostró una eficiencia de remoción general del 86.35%,
impulsando una solución innovadora y disruptiva de baja huella espacial,
transformando radicalmente la gestión del agua en entornos educativos.
