Comprensión lectora y rendimiento académico en los estudiantes del 2do. grado de educación secundaria de la Institución Educativa N° 7086 "Los Precursores", Santiago de Surco 2013

La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo principal determinar la relación directa significativa entre la comprensión lectora y rendimiento académico en los estudiantes del 2do Grado de Educación Secundaria de la I.E N°7086 “Los Precursores” del distrito de Santiago de Surco.
La metodología que se empleó para el presente estudio fue descriptivo correlacional se trabajó con una muestra de 109 estudiantes. Se les aplicó un test de comprensión de lectura, diseñado para medir las habilidades cognitivas, cada ítem y las respuestas se procesaron utilizando el paquete estadístico SPSS. Para la evaluación del rendimiento académico se ha considerado el promedio final de las áreas curriculares en el Acta de evaluación siendo el promedio general de 12,37 por cada alumno de la muestra.
El estudio concluyó aceptando la hipótesis principal se demostró que existe relación directa significativa entre la comprensión lectora y rendimiento académico. Se aceptó las hipótesis específicas referidas al nivel literal e inferencial y se rechazó la correspondiente al nivel crítico. Con respecto a los indicadores de la variable comprensión lectora, los mismos que conforman las hipótesis específicas del estudio, se encontró que los del nivel literal e inferencial están significativamente vinculados con los indicadores del rendimiento académico, pero no se encontró la misma relación significativa con el nivel crítico.
Entre las sugerencias tenemos que los docentes de secundaria deben preocuparse, de que el alumnado lea entendiendo y aplique las estrategias de comprensión para optimizar su rendimiento académico.
