Conversión de monóxido de carbono concentrado en combustibles energéticos mediante la aplicación de tratamientos fotocatalíticos: Revisión sistemática

El presente estudio tiene como metodología un tipo de investigación básica de diseño
revisión sistemático, teniendo como objetivo analizar las características y rendimiento
de los fotocatalizadores usados para la conversión de monóxido de carbono
concentrado en combustibles energéticos:
Mediante los resultados se tiene que, los catalizadores más usados son los
catalizadores cargados de metales presentando un 73% de estudios que lo confirman,
seguido de los semiconductores puros con un 27%. Ello debido a que la deposición de
catalizadores metálicos se ha utilizado ampliamente para ampliar la región de
absorción de luz del TiO2 puro y para reforzar la capacidad de adsorción de los
reactivos. La eficiencia presentada en la conversión del monóxido de carbono en
combustible energético es mayor al 80% con luz UV a diferencia que sin luz UV; siendo
ello corroborado por el 100% de los investigadores que realizaron la comparación. Por
último, las formas de energía usadas es la luz solar UV y la luz solar visible y en menor
cantidad a luz solar fototérmica. Ello debido a los beneficios económicos de los
procesos fotoasistidos; ya que, normalmente, los equipos de radiación UV artificial
consumen grandes cantidades de electricidad, lo que limita su aplicación industrial.
