dc.description.abstractThe purpose of the study was to determine the association between public policy andgender violence, in the Tumbes 2023 region. Women are the main victims of violenceexertedwithinaspaceofcoexistence,perpetratedbythepartnerorex-partner,asituation that demand for effective and sustained government actions, which is why bothconstantswillbe evaluated.Methodology:Descriptive-correlational-non-experimentalquantitativestudy,aquestionnaire was applied to 39 women victims of gender violence who attended a mentalhealth center in Tumbes (sample), the data collected was subjected to the correspondingdescriptiveandinferentialanalysis.throughtheSPSSversion27program.Results:59% qualified the public policyas moderately effective, for 23.1% it was notveryeffective,for7.7%itwasnoteffectiveatallandfor10.3%effective.Thepredominanttypeofviolencewaspsychologicalatamoderate(51.3%)andsevere(30.8%) level. There is no association between the preventive axis (p= 0.702) of publicpolicy and gender violence, while the axes of care (p= 0.006), protection (p= 0.036) andrecovery(p=0.006)ofpublicpolicyhadasignificantrelationshipwithgenderviolence.Conclusion:Thealternativehypothesiswasacceptedandthenullhypothesiswasrejected, establishing that, if there is a significant association (p=0.029 < p-value = 0.01)betweenpublicpolicy andgenderviolence,intheTumbesregion2023.es_PE
