Evaluación y optimización de la transitabilidad vehicular y peatonal de la intersección avenidas Mansiche y Pablo Casals, Trujillo – La Libertad

El crecimiento de la población en la ciudad de Trujillo y la creación de supermercados
ha generado que la intersección de la avenida Pablo Casals y avenida Mansiche supere
sus niveles de transitabilidad vehicular, trayendo como consecuencia problemas de
congestionamiento. En ese sentido, el objetivo de la presente investigación es evaluar y
optimizar la transitabilidad vehicular y peatonal de la intersección de la Av. Mansiche y
Av. Pablo Casals. La zona de estudio tiene topografía plana con una pendiente
transversal de 2.55% y una temperatura media anual de 17 °C, por otro lado, se aplicó
un formato realizado por el Ministerio de Trasportes y Comunicaciones arrojando un
Índice Medio Diario (IMD) de 4001 veh/día a 6000 veh/día con una velocidad de diseño
de 60 km/h, clasificada como autopista de segunda clase. El tipo de investigación según
su enfoque es cuantitativo por las técnicas y pruebas estadísticas que realizaron y su
nivel es descriptivo porque redacta los principales componentes, en la cual se realizó un
diagnostico situacional de la infraestructura vial indicando sus rasgos más peculiares
para la investigación; la población con la que se trabajo es la urbanización Los Cedros,
Urb. San Salvador y 200 metros a la redonda en toda la Av. Mansiche y Av. Pablo
Casals. Se concluye que implementando semáforos inteligentes, señalización vertical,
señalización horizontal y un nuevo carril de deceleración con giro a la izquierda en la
Av. Pablo Casals de 3.60 metros de ancho desde la intersección con dirección hacia el
Ovalo Mochica, solucionara la gran transitabilidad de la avenida Mansiche y avenida
Pablo Casals evitando congestionamientos en horas punta.
