Esta investigación tiene como objetivo general determinar la influencia de las fibras
de acero en las propiedades del concreto autocompactante. Comprende un
enfoque cuantitativo con un diseño experimental puro de tipo aplicada donde se
pone en práctica los conocimientos concernientes a tecnología del concreto
autocompactante y un método de adición de fibras de acero para de esta manera
contribuir al mejoramiento en sus propiedades. Utilizando como población y
muestra un grupo de probetas de resistencia F´c=280kg/cm2 tomadas como
especímenes de concreto patrón autocompactante, y concreto autocompactante
con la adición de fibras de acero, integrando un total de 81 especímenes, siendo
27 probetas del concreto patrón autocompactante y 54 probetas del concreto
autocompactante adicionando fibras de acero en porcentajes de 0.75% y 1.5%. Los
resultados muestran que la adición de fibras de acero disminuye la fluidez del
concreto autocompactante, aumenta la resistencia a compresión y flexión y
disminuye la resistencia a tracción. Y se concluye que la adición de 0.75% de fibras
de acero obtuvo mejores resultados que la adición de 1.5% en las propiedades
físicas respecto al concreto patrón, las propiedades en estado endurecido mejoran
hasta en un 5.27% en promedio con la adición de 0.75% de fibras de acero.
