Remoción de plomo en aguas contaminadas mediante un sistema hidropónico con Impatiens walleriana

La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo analizar la efectividad de la
Impatiens walleriana para la remoción de plomo en aguas contaminadas
mediante el uso de un sistema hidropónico. La investigación se realizó
mediante un enfoque cuantitativo, fue de tipo aplicada y de diseño
experimentalmente puro. Para evaluar la remoción de plomo con la Impatiens
walleriana se utilizó 3 contenedores con concentraciones de 0.125, 0.123 y
0.19 mg/L del contaminante. El tratamiento se realizó en un periodo de 21 días
y fue monitoreado cada 7 días, midiendo los parámetros fisicoquímicos como la
conductividad eléctrica, pH y temperatura. Como resultado, se alcanzó una
máxima remoción de plomo del 96.56%. Además, el análisis de tejidos de la
Impatiens walleriana, mostró concentraciones de plomo del 743.73 mg/Kg en la
raíz, 10.34 mg/Kg en el tallo y 1.43 mg/Kg en las hojas. Finalmente, la
investigación demostró que la Impatiens walleriana es un buen absorbente de
plomo y podría utilizarse como alternativa para mejorar la calidad del agua de
una manera eco-amigable.
