La investigación titulada, “Estrategias de aprendizaje de vocabulario y comprensión de textos en inglés en la UNE, 2017”, se propuso como objetivo determinar la relación entre las estrategias de aprendizaje de vocabulario y comprensión de textos en inglés en estudiantes de II ciclo de Educación de la Universidad Nacional Enrique Guzmán y Valle, Lurigancho, 2017.
La población a la que refiere esta investigación consistió en los estudiantes de II ciclo de Educación, de la especialidad de Inglés de la Universidad Nacional Enrique Guzmán y Valle, que fueron 158 estudiantes en total, mientras la muestra quedó conformada por 112 estudiantes de II ciclo de Educación, de la especialidad de Inglés, de la Universidad Nacional Enrique Guzmán y Valle, de acuerdo a un muestreo probabilístico. Los instrumentos aplicados fueron dos cuestionarios: El primero se basó en un cuestionario elaborado por la autora, tipo Escala de Likert, conformado por 20 afirmaciones, y el segundo se trató de un cuestionario de escala dicotómica, preparado por la autora para la recojo de información referente a la comprensión de textos en inglés, que constó de 10 preguntas.
Se llegó a la conclusión principal que las estrategias de aprendizaje de vocabulario y la comprensión de textos en inglés no se relacionan significativamente en estudiantes de II ciclo de Educación de la Universidad Nacional Enrique Guzmán y Valle, Lurigancho, 2017. El valor obtenido del coeficiente de correlación de Spearman fue de 0,077 y su significación fue p = 0,421, significando así que las estrategias de aprendizaje utilizadas por los estudiantes en la adquisición del vocabulario no se orientan a la comprensión de textos en inglés.
